This is Lloyd Melnick’s personal blog. I am CEO of fiveonenine games, a social web and mobile gaming joint venture between The E.W. Scripps Companyt and Capitol Broadcasting. I previously was GM, International Publishing at Playdom/Disney, where I built and led the team responsible for bringing Playdom’s games to Europe, Latin America, Russia and India. I began my career in gaming by co-founding Merscom, which started as a value game publisher, pivoted to become one of the top-5 casual game developers and pivoted again to social gaming in 2009. I then initiated and negotiated the sale of Merscom to Playdom in April, 2010.

I’m a web designer/computer support person looking to transition into the video game industry, perhaps as QA or a Game Tester. When I approached DigiRonin, Paul Potera recommended that I talk to you. Do you have an opening for entry level positions at this time? Also, does 519 Games have its own website yet?
Sorry, it didn’t include my email with the posting. You can contact me at dsguffey@gmail.com or by phone at (919) 773-1834.
Hi Lloyd,
First of all, best of luck with your new venture! I look forward to playing the games you guys produce
I was wondering if perhaps you were looking for localization services for your future products. I am Gabriel from kayoii, a start-up game localization team of experienced translators and avid gamers. So far we have translated a Steam game and some games for the iPhone, and we are currently looking into a possible partnership with a localization management site.
If you are interested we can discuss rates and other topics! Feel free to e-mail me at kylecito@kayoii.com
Thank you, and good luck again!
Regards,
Gabriel

I stumbled across your blog while looking for valuation information for entities in the online poker industry. I enjoyed the read and frank commentary immensely.
